The 'American Idol' alum earned the Favorite Female Country Artist title while the 'Focus' singer was named Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist.
More winners of the 2015 American Music Awards have been revealed. Carrie Underwood and Ariana Grande were among the latest additions to the winners list. Both took home the Favorite Female Artist titles in country and pop/rock, respectively.
Underwood, who won the prize for the third time, bested fellow country songbirds like Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini. Taking her trophy from Norman Reedus, the "American Idol" alum thanked God as well as her fans and family during her acceptance speech.
Grande, meanwhile, won the award over Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor. "This award goes to you!" she told her devoted fans after presenters Paula Abdul and Donnie Wahlberg handed her the trophy.
Other just-announced winners were Justin Bieber, Fall Out Boy and Nicki Minaj. The Canadian heartthrob grabbed the Collaboration of the Year Award for his hit with Skrillex and Diplo, "Where Are U Now". The three of them appeared on the stage, but Bieber let his two collaborators do most of the talking.
Earning their first-ever AMA, FOB nabbed the Favorite Alternative Rock Artist nod. As for Minaj, the raptress once again defeated Drake for another AMA. After claiming the Favorite Hip-Hop Album Award for "The Pinkprint", she was named Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist. Drizzy and Fetty Wap were other acts in contention for the honor.
