Is Lupita Nyong'o an ice-cold diva?

Lupita Nyong’o might have won hearts and awards with her role in '12 Years a Slave' but it seems her charm has failed to impress the co-stars of her Broadway play 'Eclipsed', who feel the actress is an ‘ice princess’ and a ‘manipulative b****’ behind the scenes.
According to reports, theatre actresses Pascale Armand, Akosua Busia, Zainab Jah, and Saycon Sengbloh, who were all initially excited to work with the star, can now barely stand her. Theatre maverick Stephen C Byrd, who is executive producer of the play’s Broadway run, was adamant that Nyong'o be cast in the show after learning she was turned down for the role while an undergrad at Yale School of Drama.

“Stephen paid her top-dollar to be in this production. He’s head over heels to have her in the show and has made it clear to everyone, whatever Nyong’o wants, she gets,” a source told an online daily.
The source added that Nyong’o has so far declined all invitations to go out to lunch with her cast members and keeps to herself in the shared dressing room quarters. “She even tried to get her own separate dressing room at The Public Theater, but the venue didn’t have the space for it,” the source explained.
'Eclipsed' is a story of four women during the Civil War of Liberia circa 2003 confined to slave-like quarters in a rural compound by a warlord rebel leader.
It is having a sold-out run at The Public and it has already been announced that the show will move to Broadway in February next year.

Elvis Presley tops UK album chart again, 40 years on

Nearly 40 years after his death, Elvis Presley is back at the top of the British album charts with his 12th UK Number 1,  If I Can Dream, a collection of Elvis classics featuring reworkings by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Elvis
This means Elvis now has more Number 1 albums in the UK than any other male solo artiste, and this puts him alongside Madonna in second place for the most chart-topping LPs, behind the Beatles, who have 15.
Elvis claimed top spot with 79,000 chart sales, it added, giving him the second-fastest selling album of the year behind Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ Chasing Yesterday.
In the singles charts, Adele was top for a second week with Hello, Britain’s fastest-selling record of 2015, keeping Justin Bieber’s Sorry in second spot and  Sam Smith’s James Bond theme on the third.

These Hollywood actors went to great lengths for their on-screen roles

How seriously can you take a movie? Well, if the audience needs to relate and believe in what they see onscreen, it’s pretty likely that getting into character means a whole new thing.

Some actors immerse themselves into the skin of their character.
Sienna Miller, whose latest release, Burnt, sees her playing a spirited sous chef with a shaved undercut and a stylish fringe, went on record to say that she would go bald without blinking an eye for a role.
“I’d do anything really,” she went on to add, “In my work that’s really a place to explore as much versatility as possible physically.”
From crash-shedding excessive weight to doing their own stunts without a body double, there are several actors who push the limits of acting and have made us ooh-ing and aah-ing over the years.
Charlize Theron
The story of Theron breaking her neck on the sets of Æon Flux is well known.More commendable was her convincing portrayal of Aileen Wuornos in Monster, for which Theron packed on more than 30 pounds.
Charlize Theron
Christian Bale
For his role in The Machinist, Bale lost an extraordinary amount of weight which was also hazardous as it left him looking like a skeleton. Sadly though, all the effort went down the drain, as the movie was a box-office dud.
Christian Bale
Heath Ledger
As the Joker, Ledger brought to the table a sinister twist that had not been seen previously. But this psychotic portrayal did not come easy. In order to build the mannerisms of the bloodthirsty character, Ledger locked himself away in a hotel room for six weeks. He kept a diary filled with crazy writings that he called the Joker’s personal diary. The crazy behaviour paid off when he received critical acclaim and a number of awards, even though he tragically died of a drug overdose several months before the film’s release.
Heath Ledger
Robert De Niro
One of the finest actors of his generation, DeNiro was so sincere towards his portrayal of Max Cady in Cape Fear that he actually paid a dentist $20,000 to completely destroy his teeth so that he would look like he spent years in jail.
Robert De Niro
Tom Hanks
We all know that Tom Hanks has made some of the most memorable cinema of our times, but for his role in Castaway he went a notch higher. Essaying the character of a lone stranded survivor on a desert island for four years, Hanks spent weeks up to his neck in water, caught a nasty infection as a consequence, which almost led to blood poisoning. The role fetched him a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination.
Tom Hanks
Natalie Portman
For Black Swan, a movie that won her an Oscar, the already petite Portman, lost another 20 pounds and trained for five to eight hours a day, eating almost next to nothing for a year. Portman has gone on record and stated that there were times that she ‘literally thought she was going to die’.
Natalie Portman
Chris Pratt
The hunky actor has tasted much success especially after his tryst with the world of dinosaurs in Jurassic World. But after portraying the super plump Andy on Parks and Recreations, Pratt dropped a dramatic 60 pounds and gained some chunky muscle weight for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Watson, meanwhile, lets Holmes know his skills by saying, "I'm an army doctor which means I can break every bone in your body while naming them." The special will premiere January 1, 2016 in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
It will also get a theatrical release in more than 500 theaters in the US and the UK on January 5 and 6. Set in 19th century London, the plot details are still scarce, but executive producer Steven Moffat once said "Ghost stories work better in a Victorian setting. Other than that
it's remarkably similar."
Amanda Abbington, Rupert Graves and Una Stubbs return as Mary Morstan, Inspector Lestrade and Mrs Hudson respectively.

Justin Bieber wears red high heels

Los Angeles: Pop sensation Justin Bieber was seen sporting a pair of red high heels on British show 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man'.

The 'What Do You Mean?' singer also had a sprint against host Alan Carr in the high heels, reported Ace Showbiz. "I'm going to try to break the record for the first time... a sprint in a pair of high heels," Alan said to the camera.
'The record is 5 seconds.' The 39-year-old comedian then wore a pair of red high heels and prepared to start sprinting. "I can probably beat your time. I'm going to beat your time after you," Justin told Alan.
After Alan finished his sprint, he challenged the 21-year-old singer, "Try to beat that, Justin." The singer was very confident that he could beat Alan's time. He then traded his white shoes for the red high heels. The heels apparently didn't fit Justin feet well.
Despite the unfit size of the heels, Justin went to sprint. After the singer reached the finish line, Alan announced, "I've got the results. I did it in 7 seconds. You, Justin Bieber, did it in... 6 seconds."

One Direction releases new song as 'closure' before hiatus

Los Angeles: Boy band One Direction has released a new song titled 'History', as a dedication to its fans, ahead of its fifth album 'Made in the AM' on November 13 followed by the group's announced hiatus.

One DirectionOne Direction
The hand-clapping, sing-along song is about all the band has been through and accomplished alongside the One Direction fans for the past five years, reported Aceshowbiz. The lyrics include, "You and me, we got a whole lot of history/ We could be the greatest thing the world has ever seen/ This is not the end/ We can make it, you know it, you know."
One Direction also shared a video of Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson talking about the new track.
Harry Styles wrote on Twitter, "You've got to help me, I'm losing my mind," along with a link to "History". Horan, meanwhile, tweeted, "Loving the trend again today.. Love how u are responding to history.. It's one our favourite songs we've ever done.. So this makes me happy. Loving the trend again today.. Love how u are responding to history.. It's one our favourite songs we've ever done.. So this makes me happy."
Liam Payne described 'History' as a 'modern version' of "You've Got a Friend in Me". "More than anything, the song is about the way the fans and everyone have created this massive thing - One Direction - over the past five years," he shared, "Out of ('History') comes a little bit of closure for this chapter of One Direction."
He said bringing fans to the recording studio for the chorus of 'History' was actually his idea, but he wasn't able to go himself. "That was actually my idea. It's really great because obviously that song is mainly about the fans and what they've done. I think it was important that they were a part of it, to close the album."

Kanye West Spents $500 on Haircut Everyday

If there's one thing we know about Kanye West, he always looks fresh -- but it doesn't come cheap. On top of the designer clothing 'He is always rocking, he's also putting a whole lot of money into his hair. That's right, it may not look like much, but according to Rihanna's dad (who travelled with 'He and his daughter on a 2010 tour), the rapper gets his hair cut every day, and he shells out $500 each time.

“It’s crazy – he pays his barber $500 a time,” Ri's father said in an interview with Heat. "I don’t understand how that much hair gets taken off. Kanye just loves the fresh look.”
When it comes to his elaborate patterns (those stars at the 2010 VMAs, or those arrows he rocked for a bit) we definitely get the pricetag, but for the most part, His hair doesn't seem like a difficult style, especially if it's getting cut every single day.

Keep in mind, this report is from 5 years ago, so things may have changed since then, but we do know Ibn Jasper has been 'He's barber for a minute now, and we'd assume his rate would only go up over time.
As Complex points out, 5 bills a day would give Ibn a $182,500 salary, which certainly isn't bad for a barber with only one client.
