Justin Bieber's album banned in Middle East due to his cross tattoo

Los Angeles: The cover art for Justin Bieber's upcoming album "Purpose" has not gone down well with some Middle East countries as they find it provocative, due to the cross tattoo on singer's chest.

The countries, including Indonesia, have banned the album and have taken the issue with the Canadian singer being shirtless in the artwork and flaunting the cross tattoo, reported Aceshowbiz.

The 21-year-old pop star's team is reportedly working on an alternate album art, though it unclear how the revamped cover will look.

"Purpose" is due for November 13 release.

MzVee appointed as World Bank ambassador

MzVee began her journey as a solo artiste about two years ago and has since then moved from one height to the next in the Ghanaian music industry and gained critical acclaim both locally and internationally.

Over the years, MzVee has won the hearts of many with her vocal and artistic prowess. This year, at the BET awards, she was nominated for Best International New Artist in the Viewers’ Choice Category and has now bagged for herself an ambassadorial deal with the World Bank.

A deal that will see her work with the World Bank on their ‘End Extreme Poverty’ campaign.

As part of promoting such a worthy cause, MzVee and her team have recorded a song titled ‘End Poverty’. This songwill feature on her second album which is yet to be released next month.

In an interview with Live FM, MzVee who could not hide her excitement said; “it’s a great privilege to be chosen among the lot to embark on this worthy course. Firstly, I thank theWorld Bank for this opportunity.

“I believe that, together we can help eradicate extreme poverty, we need to work together to shed light on the devastating effects of poverty, and we need to educate people on how we can stand together to find ways forward. I trust that there is hope and things will get better.”

To take things a step further, MzVee together with her record label Lynx Entertainment have made a commitment to assist with the End Poverty campaign through education, and as such will be starting ascholarship program for children in need of financial assistance to further their education.

MzVee will be embarking on a high school tour, where seminars will be held on the importance of education. Students who meet the scholarship criteria will be selected from the schools and granted full educational scholarship.

Jennifer Lopez was spotted with blood trickling from her nose as she worked on her new series in New York City.

Thankfully, it seems to have been part of the shoot as the star continues filming Shades of Blue in the Big Applealongside co-star Ray Liotta.

It's not clear exactly what will cause in the injury when the police drama hits screens in the US, but usually glamorous J-Lo looked a world away from her glitzy, red carpet self.

Here, she was spotted in an buttoned shirt open to her chest, a black leather jacket and had scrapes over her face.

As well as bleeding from her nose, the makeup department did wonders as the star sported a painful looking mark on her forehead and a cut under her eye during street scenes with Ray.

Jennifer has been working hard on her new role, and her character's sense of style has meant she's been almost unrecognisable on set.

Priyanka Chopra nominated for People's Choice Awards

Los Angeles: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who made her international TV debut with "Quantico", has earned a nomination for People's Choice Awards' Favourite Actress In A New TV Series for the American thriller series.

Excited by the news, the actress, who plays role of Alex Parrish, a rookie FBI recruit with a mysterious past, said that she feels honoured for bagging a nomination in the first year itself.

“Wow this is such an honour! First year and a nomination! Thank you @peopleschoice what's say people? #quantico,” Priyanka tweeted.

The show also features actors Jake McLaughlin, Tate Ellington and Graham Rogers, who all play FBI recruits. It will narrate their adventures and experiences as they train at Quantico base in Virginia, and secrets of their past start to emerge.

People's Choice Awards is the only major awards show voted on entirely by the public for fan favourites in films, music and television.

The People’s Choice official website houses the voting platform where fans determine the categories, nominees and winners for the annual awards show.

Voting will commence from November 3 this year.
