Chris Brown being sued by fan who claims it was singer’s fault he suffered gunshot wound

It seems like Chris Brown is never too far removed from some kind of controversy.

The Love More singer is being sued by a fan who claims it was Chris’ fault he was shot at during a concert back in January, according to TMZ.

Paul Briley was at the singer’s show in San Jose earlier this year when shots rang out shortly after midnight.

In a lawsuit filed against the star, Paul alleges the father-of-one failed to provide enough security at the concert.

He says he sustained permanent injuries and claims Chris had experienced other instances of violences at concerts before the show he attended, therefore he should have beefed up security.

According to TMZ, five people were wounded during the incident with four being rushed to hospital.

A spokesperson for Chris told Mirror Celebs: "It is a poor reflection of our society that violence is so prevalent and it is always a tragedy when someone is physically harmed.

"However this is a completely frivolous lawsuit. We expect that the case will be dismissed and in future, to avoid these reoccurring meritless lawsuits directed at Chris Brown, we plan to seek damages from all parties and their lawyers."
