With festive fervour gripping Mumbaikars, could the Bollywood brigade be far behind? A bevy of film celebs relegated work to the background to welcome Lord Ganesha into their homes on Thursday
Like every year, Bollywood folk celebrated the first day of Ganesh Utsav on Thursday with great fanfare. Being ardent devotees of Bappa, several celebs have taken time off from their busy schedules to surrender to the festive frenzy, setting up idols of the Elephant God in their homes and organising pujas of jumbo proportions. Apart from visiting their industry colleagues and family, many of them go pandal-hopping to soak in the festivities and joining devotees during the visarjan ceremony. It is also the time when their diets go for a toss — blame it on the tempting modaks and many other sweet delights.
