Ace Ghana music icon, Nana Kwaku Duah, endeared to many as Tic Tac has urged Ghanaians with interest in music and technology to create local online music marketing stores to sell Ghanaian music to music lovers in Ghana and all over the world.
Speaking with Joel( Yfm drive time host) and DJ Kess on the Drive of Your Life show on Yfm last Friday, Tic Tac took time to school Ghanaian youths on new strategies of making money off the music industry.
He said the music industry is economically viable and attractive to work in if you are creative.
He insisted that it is still relevant to make records and produce albums as a musician because aside there being many music collectors who still invest lots of money in collecting records yearly, your singles would have to get assembled onto an album.
Tic Tac explained that the nonexistence of local online music marketing stores have rather created an opportunity for Ghanaian youths to create private digital stores to market music from Ghana to Ghanaians. He added that music lovers will keep buying records if it is marketed to them using modern channels via the internet.
Tic Tac added that " the local market size is big enough to make profit off your music, the youth can take advantage now and create as many digital marketing stores, it is the future of the industry ".
The enlightened musician who is the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the Musicians Union of Ghana is currently on a radio tour of some of the leading radio stations in Accra, promoting his current single "Don't Let Your Babe Go", produced by Laxio Beats.
The video for the song, "Dont Let Your Babe Go" which is showing on leading Television stations was made on locations at Nzulezu the village on a river in Western Ghana and has been commended by the Minister of Tourism for promoting domestic tourism.
