Los Angeles: With more than 200 films under his belt spanning a 56-year career, Jackie Chan has finally received an Oscar.
The 62-year-old action star was awarded an honorary Oscar at the Eighth Annual Governors Awards at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles on Saturday night, reported E! online.
Tom Hanks, Michelle Yeoh and Chris Tucker presented Chan with the award.
Hanks compared Chan to the likes of John Wayne and Buster Keaton.
Chan accepted his award, calling it a "dream" and shared his memories growing up and watching the Oscars with his parents.
"My dad always said, 'Son, you get so many movie awards in the world, when are you going to get one of these?' Then I just look at my dad. 'Ha, ha, ha. Dad, I only make comedy
action movies,'" he shared.
The star remembered seeing Sylvester Stallone's Oscar when he had a meeting with him at his house 23 years ago.
"I touched it, kissed it, smelled it," Chan kidded. "I believe it still has my fingerprints on it...Then I talked to myself, 'I really want one.' Finally, (Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs) called and I said, 'Are you sure?'"
Chan thanked his fans and promised them to keep working and making movies.
"After 56 years in the film industry, making over 200 films, I've broken so many bones, finally this is mine. I want to thank you, Hong Kong, such an incredible city, my hometown, my hood, who make me.
"China, my country, I am proud to be Chinese. Thank you, Hollywood, for all of those years teaching me so many things, and also make me a little bit famous. I'm just honored to be here," he said.

Chan took to Twitter to share his feelings about the night. "So honored and happy and lost for words!" he wrote.

Deepika Padukone's pictures in a deglam look with acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi are breaking the internet and the actress says the details about the same will be revealed soon.
Deepika went almost unrecognised in the salwar kurta sans make-up avatar, and the pictures sparked the rumours that she is collaborating with Majidi for his next directorial venture. There have also been reports that the almost day-long shoot was held only for Majidi to gauge if Deepika's look suited a prime character in his film. When asked about it the 30-year-old actress told reporters, "You will know soon."
Deepika was speaking at the red carpet of Lux Golden Rose Awards held here last night. She recently shot for a Lux advertisement with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and noted actresses Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit. The actress said it was an honour to share screen space with the two divas.
"I have grown up watching Madhuri ji and Sridevi ji and to share screen space with them and to be with them was a huge honour. It's been nine years and I feel I have a long way to go. It was fun doing the ad," she said.

Deepika is gearing up for the release of her maiden Hollywood debut, "xXx: Return of Xander Cage". When asked if her co-star Vin Diesel and the rest of the cast will come for its Indian premiere, Deepika said, "Hopefully they all will be here. I have spoken to them a lot about India and they know a lot about our country,"

Self-proclaimed critic Kamaal R Khan has courted controversy after apparently leaking the opening scene of Ajay Devgn's 'Shivaay' on Twitter while watching it in Dubai.
Kamaal R Khan had reportedly recorded the opening scene of 'Shivaay' and posted it on Twitter, but he later deleted the tweet.
The official Twitter account of Reliance Entertainment shared the screenshot of KRK's tweet and also said that they will take strict legal action.
@kamaalrkhan Hey KRK. We're sure you're excited to watch , however using recording devices inside the cinema is strictly not allowed
Besides leaking the opening sequence, KRK also shared important plot details on Twitter.
Story started by 9 years old memory and Since last 15 minutes Ajay Devgan Sahab is jumping in the mountains!
30 minutes gone and Ajay Devgan sir is still climbing mountains only so I really don't know if he has made  to show mountains only.
What a great bad film !  is  n  is  compare to this waste of time, money n energy!
Let me clear,  is story of prostitution problem in Bulgaria, so what Indian audience has to do with it? Why will Indians watch it?
In one scene of  @ajaydevgn has shown that every Indian is corrupt. Excuse me sir, pls don't dare to call every Indian corrupt👏👏👏
It's my challenge to each fan of Ajay, If  will survive till Monday also, then I will never ever review any film in my entire life.
If  will work at boxoffice then I will work as a office boy in @ajaydevgn office for rest of my life. It's my promise 2entire world.

However, KRK denies recording any 'Shivaay' scene and took to Twitter to putforth his view:
For your information, I haven't recorded anything at all. I took a pic of Title  only. @voxcinemas
I really can't understand, how Anil Ambani did choose an illiterate like Shibasish Sarkar COO of Reliance who even doesn't know abut piracy.
In September, KRK shot back at Ajay Devgn, who alleged he was paid by Karan Johar to bash 'Shivaay', and said, in fact, it was the actor who bribed him to criticise the director's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', giving a u-turn to the controversy. (Read more)

'Shivaay' and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' are set to clash at the box office on October 28.
