Swara Bhaskar slams Article 377

Actress Swara Bhaskar of 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Raanjhanaa' fame has come out in the support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community by slamming the controversial Article 377 of the constitution and terming it 'shameful' and 'saddening'.

"It's a shameful matter that in a democracy like ours, there is a law like Article 377 which criminalises a community who're part of us and part of the country, and their acts. It's saddening," said Swara.
She was present as a panel member on a discussion on homosexuality as part of the film, 'Timeout' which is based on this theme.
"It's really important that laws change. It's not okay to have a law which criminalises homosexuality or unnatural sex or whatever weird language it's put in. You're making not just gay people but even heterosexuals vulnerable at the hands of the agents of the state like the police, which we've seen in various cases over the last year," she said.
The actress also said that "being straight or gay is a personal choice".
"It is completely normal and natural. There's no hype in it. For all countries and especially India being a democracy, it is a right for everyone to express their identities in whatever fashion they wish to express," she added.
According to Swara, the numerous bans in various parts of the country, whether it is the beef ban in Maharashtra, the porn ban, or the meat ban in Mumbai, are all pointing to intolerance from our society.
She feels people follow the idea that "if you don't like something, just say it is illegal".
"There is a genuine problem of tolerance in our society and it's only growing. It's very strange because India is and always has been multicultural, multilingual, multiethnic, multiracial right from the Indus Valley times. As people, we're becoming more and more intolerant of being able to live with difference in our society," she said.
"It could be difference of culinary habits like the meat ban controversy, or difference of thoughts, or sexuality, which is the sad truth of society."

'Akshay fan' Amy Jackson had to pinch herself when offered 'Singh Is Bliing'

British model-actress Amy Jackson said on Wednesday that she was extremely surprised when she was offered "Singh Is Bliing" and had to pinch herself to believe that she was going to star opposite Akshay Kumar.

"I had to pinch myself. I got the call and didn't expect it. And right up till nearly the end of filming, I was thinking, 'Am I actually doing a film with Akshay Kumar?' because I was a massive Akshay Kumar fan before and the first film that I ever watched was his and Katrina's film, 'Namastey London'. I didn't think that I could get the chance to star alongside him, especially so early on in my career," said Amy at a press meet here on her first reaction on being offered the film.
Amy added that Akshay has been the best co-star. "He's the action king of Bollywood and not just the way he is as an actor, but mainly the way he is as a person. I learnt a lot from him from the way he conducts himself professionally. For instance, how we were up at crack of dawn today to get these promotions on and get them sorted. I think he is an inspiration."
Since the trailer of the venture was released, the action scenes performed by Amy has impressed the viewers. And she now hopes to become a trend-setter in terms of action for actresses. "There is a lot of action in this film, which I haven't seen in Bollywood films before, so I would like to set a trend. I loved the action, I think it's something thats important, not just for heroes, but heroines can also do it," she said.
Akshay, too, is also impressed with Amy. "She is one of the best fighters I've come across as a heroine and she's done wonderful fights. And obviously, she's beautiful," he said.
Though she was saree-clad in her debut Hindi venture 'Ekk Deewana Tha', the 23-year-old started out as a model, so slipping into a bikini wasn't too difficult.
"I like to stay fit, so it's just generally healthy living and healthy lifestyle so I didn't really have to do much preparation for it. And when we're on set, Akshay is very helpful."
Amy was last seen opposite Vikram in Shankar's 'I'.

Officer Comes Forward Admitting To Helping The Rapper Fake His Death

According to The Mirror retired police officer has made a death bed confession that he assisted Tupac in faking his own death. David Myers, currently in critical condition in a non-specified hospital, claims he was paid $1.5 million to assist Tupac in faking his 1996 drive-by shooting death in Las Vegas.

On his last leg in life, Myers now says he now wants the world to know the truth about Tupac’s death.

“The world needs to know what I did. I’m ashamed that I let a price be put on my word and I cannot die without letting the world know.”

He also claims that Suge Knight played a major role in making hoax. He also claims that over 30 people were reportedly paid to help fake his death – including other police officers, medics and multiple witnesses.

Myers even claims 2Pac paid $50,000 for a body double’s corpse to be taken to the morgue.

Well this is certainly interesting…even thought there is no way to verify if any of what this man is saying is true. The Mirror didn’t photograph him or even tell what hospital he was in or why. Strange…

'I'll Forever Love Justin Bieber' - Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is all about growing up these days

The 23-year-old former Disney star covers Elle's October 2015 issue, and talks about taking control of her life with her new album, Revival, as well as challenging herself with surprising new film roles. Part of her new image is, of course, moving on from her highly publicized relationship with her ex, 21-year-old Justin Bieber. Despite Justin's hidden messages to Selena in his most recent music videos, Selena says the two are "genuinely" just friends now.

"I'll forever support him and love him in a way that ... We grew up together," Selena candidly tells the magazine. "I think people want it to be different."

"We're too young for that. Nobody was married," she points out. "There was no ... I respect him. And I think he respects me, in a healthy manner.”

Part of moving on for good was her memorably emotional American Music Awards performance of "The Heart Wants What It Wants" last November, which left her bestie, Taylor Swift, sobbing.

"Everybody was talking about the same thing: my relationship. I was so exhausted," she recalls about the tears-filled moment. "I said, I want this [performance] to be the last time I have to talk about this. And acknowledge this feeling. I was kind of devastated. I was like, This is all I have right now. This is gonna be it. And all I want is to move on. It was a huge weight lifted off me."

Still, despite all the intense drama that came with "Jelena," she doesn't quite rule out the possibility of one day rekindling the romance. "I don't know!" she laughs, when asked point-blank if she and Justin would ever get back together.

Obviously though, not any time soon. The "Good for You" singer reveals she's now dating again.

"I've been on a few dates, which is really exciting," she shares. "But I've never wanted to get into anything serious, because I kind of did that. I have my guard up. I like to meet people in organic settings. Hanging out with a group of people and meeting through mutual people."

One person she's surprisingly kissing -- for professional reasons! -- is 37-year-old James Franco, who's directing her in the highly anticipated In Dubious Battle, an adaptation of the 1936 John Steinbeck novel about aCalifornia labor strike. She shares that she had to make out with the Oscar-nominated actor in a scene that required seven-plus takes.

“He’s a good kisser," she admits.

Check out Selena showing more of her grown-up side earlier this month, posing in nothing but her bra and tights.
