Drake & Nicki Minaj Nominated For Time Magazine’s ‘Person Of The Year


POTY is given to the individual or group that has had the greatest impact on the world during that calendar year. The publication’s editors make the final decision, but Time is allowing the public to vote for a “Reader’s Choice” selection.
Nicki and Drake are among over 50 nominees competing in the voting process. The finalists also include world leaders such as President Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Syrian President Bashar Assad. High-profile celebrities like Adele, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, and Kim Kardashian West are on the list as well.
As of press time, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is leading with the greatest percentage of votes (12.7%). Sanders is followed by Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai (4.9%), Pope Francis (3.7%), Barack Obama (3.5%) and The Late Show host Stephen Colbert (3.4%). Minaj currently stands at 1.3% andDrake has 1.1%.
