Matthew McConaughey sports a bald patch, paunch in 'Gold'

Los Angeles: Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey looked unrecognisable on set of his new movie 'Gold' as he transformed himself to Kenny Wells by wearing a balding head, beaky nose, protruding teeth and prosthetic belly.

The 45-year-old Oscar winning actor donned a cheap and unflattering grey suit with tropical print silk tie and brown shoes.

At one point, an assistant could be seen adjusting the actor's false teeth as he waited patiently between takes. He was seen puffing cigarette while toting around a briefcase, reported Ace Showbiz. McConaughey also filmed a scene with co-star Bryce Dallas Howard.
Bryce looked beautiful in a gold 80s-style dress. The 'Jurassic World' actress sported red lipstick and her hair was styled in small curls. She completed her look with gold accessories, a box clutch and strappy heels.
Directed by Stephen Gaghan, 'Gold' is based on a true story of the Bre-X Mineral Corporation mining scandal and is set in the early '90s.
The film centers on Kenny Wells, a struggling businessman, who is trying to get back on his feet. He later teams up with a luckless geologist (Edgar Ramirez) in an effort to find gold deep in the uncharted jungles of Indonesia.

Kirsten Dunst slams Hollywood, calls it 'a weird place'

London: Actress Kirsten Dunst says she has become a little disappointed with Hollywood and feels television is the new hub of creative people.

The 33-year-old 'Spider-Man' trilogy star, who is all set to star in season 2 of 'Fargo', finds the film industry a
"weird place," reported The Guardian.

"People don't go to the cinema unless it's an event any more. So the movie industry is in a weird place, for sure, and
the creative people are blossoming on television," Dunst said.
The actress said too many films is the reason she shifted to television.
"There are just too many movies being made, I think. So many of them get lost. Too many cooks in the kitchen- the studio's editing it, the producers are editing it, the director's editing, too. But everyone has their hand in it, so whose movie is it at the end of the day?"
The 'Interview with the Vampire' actress finds TV more satisfactory as it involves a lot of hard work.
"Doing a television show is much, much harder work than film, because you're doing 10 pages a day. You don't get that many takes. And my character does not stop talking," she said.

Missing from the music world for 10 years, Smith returns with the Colombian band doing an upbeat fusion of electro-tropical sound and rap that reflects "the impact of Latin rhythms" on the international scene.
"Having a personality like Will Smith, who after so many years away from music wants to sing with a Colombian group, says a lot about how Latin rhythms are permeating international entertainment," the founder and instrumentalist of Bomba Estereo, Simon Mejia, told EFE.
The collaboration has been in the works since the "Men in Black" actor visited Colombia with salsa star Marc Anthony last June.
According to Mejia, Smith "fell in love" with the mash of gaitas, African sounds and electronics that identify the Colombian band and "he chose it out of several" as his springboard back into song.
"We still can't believe what's happening. It was not obvious to anyone that Will Smith would decide to return to music," said the Colombian artist, who admitted he had agreed with colleagues Liliana Saumet and Julian Salazar that they wouldn't work with anyone else until they found "an interesting proposal".
With "the vocals and flow of a rapper", the celeb nominated for two Oscars for Best Actor adds "something extra that gave more strength to the number" with his masculine voice, while adding "a global touch" with his vocalizing in English and Spanish, the Colombian artist said.
The Colombian artists have a lot of surprises in store with the video of the "Fiesta" remix filmed in Los Angeles, in which fans can see Will Smith the rapper reappear.
The band pioneering the "psychedelic cumbia" is on an international tour of South America, the US and Europe.

“People are coming up with great ideas, but the affluent people select only a few concepts to make a film which they feel are good. But through crowdfunding, one will be able to make the kind of films that people want to watch. It is more or less a democratic process,” he says.
The actor also believes that this funding practice will soon be the next big thing in Bollywood. “It will become a normal thing to do in the near future since you will not have to compromise on your creativity. Anyway, it creates enough buzz on digital platforms, so there is a possibility that the film will perform well at the box office,” adds Kunal.
Talking about the initiatives that his company has taken recently, Kunal reveals, “We have supported a dancer as well as a documentary maker. We will also support films that are stuck midway or awaiting release.”

Films for business
On October 4, KV Sridhar, CCO of SapientNitro, made an appearance at the festival. The renowned ad filmmaker spoke at length about the detailing that goes into making an impactful commercial.
He also mentioned that those of his ilk are much more socially responsible than they were before. He says, “I came up with the ‘I am a Complan boy’ ad quite easily, but in today’s time, I can’t afford to do that because people may ask why can’t it be a Complan girl.” Sridhar also mentioned that ad filmmakers experiment a lot in terms of concepts as compared to feature filmmakers.

Ghanaian Gospel Musician Jael Wiafe Serious In “FIGHT”

The gospel music industry is gradually  but as we always say, there is more room for improvement. The days of gospel musicians standing by flower pots and wearing just anything to shoot their music video is gradually fading out of the system.

Female gospel musician Jael Wiafe keeps growing each day that passes by. After her amazing collaboration with International Gospel legend Papa San on their hit single ’Dont Give Up’ , Jael wowed her fans with the song and video #KeepOnBelieving which earned her a nomination as the best female vocal performer at last year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

#KeepOnBelieving is by far one of the most inspirational and motivational songs on the planet with over a million youtube views and still counting.

For a gospel singer from Ghana this is a huge accomplishment. The story of hope Jael portrays in her videos resonates with lots of people. Jael Wiafe is one of the most talented and beautiful music artists we have in our country and she has done it once again by blessing the entire world this time with a brand new single called ‘FIGHT’.

Everything about the song is perfect. From the vocals to lyrics, the entire production is top notch. The video depicts a story of rejection, heartbreak, bad relationships and the final victory for The children of God.

It shows how past traumas even in childhood can affect adult lives and choices. Jael strongly believes there are manifold blessings awaiting every child of God on the other side of pain if only we believe in God and exercise patience . This song and video will heal, inspire and bless all who hear and see it.

Jael is like no other in the music industry in Ghana because her music and sound is very unique and universal. Though ‘FIGHT’ is not a typical Ghanaian song,it will definitely cut across all barriers to bring a sense of empowerment to the listeners.

The great thing about Jael is that she is very diverse and her sound is on an international level. She is one of the most creative artists that ever emerged from Ghana and i believe she is a force to be reckoned with. Jael says ‘FIGHT’ is all about FIGHTING FOR ONE’S LIFE,FIGHTING FOR TRUTH AND most importantly FIGHTING TO HOLD ON TO YOUR FAITH IN GOD no matter the problems we may face in life.

Produced by Maurice Gregory a member of the iconic reggae band ‘Third World’ and the younger brother of Papa San, this new single ‘FIGHT’ is definitely going to make waves. The well produced video by A.M studios in my opinion is by far her best work to date.
