Jay Z, Lil Wayne, T.I And More To Perform At Tidal Charity Concert

Some of hip-hop’s most elite acts are taking their talents to the Barclay’s Center next month to perform a charity concert. According to the Huffington Post, Jay Z, Beyonce, Usher, T.I, Lil’ Wayne, Prince, Fabolous Nicki Minaj and many more will take the Barclay’s Center stage on Oct. 20th for Tidal X: 1020. More than 20 artists are slated to perform.

The concert, which is being deemed “a tribute to fans and a call for action,” is being thrown by TIDAL, the streaming service owned by most of the performers that now boasts one million subscribers. All of the proceeds from the show will go to the TIDAL X FUND at the New World Foundation.
Tidal subscribers can purchase tickets for Tidal X: 1020 on Sept. 30th at 12:00 p.m EST. Tickets will be available to the public Oct. 1st at 12:00 p.m EST. The concert will also be streamed via Tidal.

Meek Mill’s Baby Mama Caught Stealing $17 of Food

It’s hard out here. Apparently Meek Mill’s baby mama, Fatimah Raheem, eventually plead guilty to retail theft, under a deal with the Montgomery County Pa. District Attorney’s Office. A ShopRite security guard caught her on camera leaving the store without paying for two $6.99 containers of hot food from the buffet and $2.50 bag of frozen pineapples. The woman had had two small children with her when she stole the food.

Although she did pay for some items at the self-service checkout, police said she moved the frozen pineapples and hot food directly from her cart into a shopping bag. She left the store, but cops were able to track her down because she used her price plus rewards card for the stuff she actually paid for. According to Hip Hop Wired, Meek Mill’s son’s mother initially denied ever being at ShopRite, and then claimed someone else used herrewards card. But cops compared surveillance footage to her driver’s license. Allegedly, she asked if she could just pay back ShopRite the $17 for the stolen merch, but the store’s management wanted to press charges. Dang!

Chris Brown wants to 'raise awareness' of domestic abuse if he is allowed to enter Australia

Chris Brown has said he would be "grateful" if he was allowed to enter Australia in a plea on Twitter over hisimmigration status and claimed his visit could be used to campaign against spousal abuse.

The star is currently waiting to find out if he's allowed to enter Oz, after the government raised issues with his visa application over his 2009 conviction for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna.

While he's been allowed in the country twice before, Australia's Minister for Women, Senator Michaelia Cash, said the government were not afraid to turn down Brown's immigration request this time, in light of his violent past.

They Loyal star had intended to bring his One Hell Of A Nite tour to Australia in December and in an apparent appeal to the government took to Twitter today to explain why he should be allowed in.

He wrote: "I would be more than grateful to come to Australia to raise awareness about domestic violence. Im not the pink elephant in the room anymore. My life mistakes should be a wake up call for everyone.

"Showing the world that mistakes don't define you. Trying to prevent spousal abuse.

"The youth don't listen to parents nor do they listen to PSA's. The power that we have as Entertainers can change lives."

This weekend it was claimed it was "unlikely" that the star would be allowed in the country.

According to the report, the singer was issued with a "notice of intention to consider refusal" and as a result has 28 days to convince Aussie officials he should be allowed a visa.

However, his publicist has stated that a decision had not yet been made over the issue.

"Contrary to media reports, Chris Brown's request to enter Australia on tour has not been denied. This request is currently being considered by the office of the Immigration Minister.

"We respect their right to review this request and have faith that a decision will be made with the full consideration of his continued personal growth, on-going philanthropic endeavors and desire to perform for his fans.

"Since 2009, Chris Brown has visited Australia on two separate occasions and is looking forward to returning in December," he added.

This week Marnie admitted her relationship with Ricky might not be over for good despite their very bitter break up.

The former Geordie Shore dumped the one-time TOWIE star by text following a whirlwind romance and engagement.

Despite the cruel taunts the pretty brunette admits she doesn’t know if it is over for good.

Later in the interview she revealed she hoped they would sort it out because she “loves him a lot”. In fact she mentions her hope of reconciliation three times during the chat.

Marnie revealed the couple came to blows because Ricky felt like they were spending too much time together – something she was confused about because they were engaged.

“If you’re engaged to someone you should be able to spend all your time with them,” she said.

“I felt like if I stayed with him longer than a week, he was just sick of us.”

Lil Wayne Associate Arrested On Murder Charges

Widner “Flow” Degruy, a Young Money affiliate has been arrested for his alleged connection to a murder case.

His arrest happened Friday night according to The New Orleans Advocate.

Degruy and two others were indicted Thursday for their role in the Memorial Day murder of a pair of brothers in New Orleans.

Degruy is signed to Young Money and already has an outstanding murder case. He was also booked July 1 on a pair of murder charges in the murders of friend, Kendrick Bishop, 22, and his brother, Kendred Bishop, who was 18-years old.

At the time, he made the $500,000 bail.

Jamya “Mya” Brady, Degruy’s girlfriend was also arrested and charged on two obstruction counts.

Chris Brown Gets A Las Vegas Residency

Chris Brown has signed on to do a Las Vegas residency. TMZ reports. The “Zero” crooner will be performing 10 shows at Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub.

It was initially reported that Breezy would do six shows and earn $50,000 per gig but now that he will be doing 10, he may earn more money for each performance. These shows will serve as a trial run to see if he he can deliver well enough for a possible long-term residency.

Fellow VA native Trey Songz will also be hitting the stage in Vegas and will be rotating performances with Chris.

The 26-year-old just wrapped up the “One Hell Of a Nite” tour with Fetty Wap, Omarion, Teyana Taylor and Kid Ink. Brown was trying to get into Australia to perform but it was confirmed that he has been banned from entering the continent because of his 2009 assault case regarding Rihanna.

The cause of death of Bobbi Kristina Brown - singer Whitney Houston's daughter - has been determined, but officials say they will not reveal the post-mortem results.

They say a court in the US state of Georgia ordered a medical examiner to seal the results.

Bobbi Kristina, 22, died at a hospice on 26 July, six months after she was found unresponsive in a bath in her Atlanta flat.

Houston drowned in a bath in 2012.

She died at a Los Angeles hotel on the eve of the Grammy Awards ceremony.

In a statement, the Fulton county medical examiner said Bobbi Kristina's post-mortem results would not be publicly released on the order of the Fulton county superior court.

"The Fulton County medical examiner has classified the cause and manner of Bobbi Kristina Brown's death," it said.

Bobbi Kristina was the only child of singer Whitney Houston and her father was R&B singer Bobby Brown.

She was buried in August at the Fairview cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, next to her mother.

Bobbi Kristina Brown began performing with her mother in 1999, singing duets of My Love is Your Love and recording Little Drummer Boy for a holiday album in 2003.

''The pope is dope'' -Kim Kardashian tweet causes stir

Kim Kardashian is not the kind of public figure normally consulted for her opinions on current affairs or major world events – nor, to be frank, are her opinions generally taken seriously.

But a single comment by the reality TV star on the occasion of Pope Francis’s historic visit to the US was enough to reduce one Argentinian entertainment website to paroxysms of nationalist outrage and accusations of anti-papal hostility.

The episode began when Kardashian published a lapidary tweet concerning the pontiff.

It is possible that Kardashian’s message was a riff on the #popeisdope hashtag that has trended on Twitter throughout his visit along with others like #catholicswag and #rockstarpope.

Or maybe she chose it because it just happened to rhyme.

Most would probably interpret the tweet – or tuit as it’s spelled in Spanish – as an endorsement, but it seems the reporter at Primicias Ya was only familiar with the other meaning of “dope”.

Under the incredulous headline “Did Kim Kardashian attack the pope?” the writer (mis)translates the tweet as “THE POPE IS DRUGS.”

Stung by nationalist pride, the writer – who is not bylined – springs to the defence of a fellow Argentinian – referring to him as “our pope”.

After a brief recap of some of the pope’s benevolent and revolutionary acts, the writer concludes that life “is not all roses” and says that Francis has “found an enemy” in the US.

The writer helpfully reminds readers that Kardashian once featured in a sex tape, before canvassing readers for possible explanations for the “curious tweet”.

“What could Kim be referring to? Without a doubt, this couldn’t be positive. How do you interpret her message?”

Commenters on the post have been quick to share dope’s more positive connotations with the writer and some even sprang to Kardashian’s defense.

One commenter scolds Primicias Ya, demanding that they “inform themselves before creating controversy”. Another remarks on the star’s many entrepreneurial endeavours.

Kardashian’s message about the pope has been retweeted more than12,000 times.

Jim Carrey’s girlfriend commits suicide after they broke up

Actor and comedian Jim Carrey’s girlfriend, Cathriona White,committed suicide on Monday via drug overdose.

The 24 year old is the on-again, off-again partner of Carrey, and the pair are reported to have broken up again just on September 24.

TMZ reports “LAPD responded to a call in the L.A. area Monday night. They went to a residence and found the body of CathrionaWhite.

“Sources say White left a suicide note addressed to Carrey which references their break up on Sept. 24.”

Police believe she died via drug overdose, with a cache of pills found next to her body.

Carrey and Miss White met in 2012, and then broke up. They got together back in May this year, before breaking up mere days ago, leading to this tragic event.

White tweeted on Thursday, presumably after they broke up that “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.”

Carrey has yet to comment on the sad news.

The 6th god rapper was asked why he recorded the song with Skpeta, if it was some attempt at ‘international outreach’ to become a truly global star, having already conquered North America, Drake swayed that impression by saying;

“I just did it because I was in the moment. I wasn’t thinking like, ‘Oh man, I gotta get my brand up in Nigeria. Not to say that’s not important. I’m super-honored to be on that song.’

Drake also revealed that he first heard the song through Skepta and that Ojuelegba was so remarkable.

According FADE: “Drake had to rap in a way he’s never rapped before, to the extent that it takes him a couple of bars to find the swing of the beat. As soon as he does find it (it happens right as he’s singing Pree me, dem a pree me, Jamaican patois for ‘they’re watching me’) his vocals and the music click into place, and suddenlythe song sounds like it could be a stateside hit.”
