The Canadian singer added the chart-topping hit to the setlist of her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum inCaesars Palace as she welcomed the new year.

Celine Dion tried to say "Hello" to Adele from the other side during her concert on New Year's Eve. The Canadian songbird surprised a Las Vegas crowd to a cover of the British beauty's smashing hit.

"So tonight, if I may, I would like Adele to be part of our New Year's Eve," said Dion before jokingly adding, "So don't panic, she's not in the building... Do we need to change the battery in my microphone? It kind of lost it a bit. Adele, hello? Hello?"

The December 31 show was part of Dion's Las Vegas residency which she halted in 2014 as her husband Rene Angelil battled with cancer. She resumed her residency at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace back in August.

Is Taylor Swift Upset as Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner Continue Their Romantic Vacation?

A source says of Taylor, 'The fact that Harry and Kendall are celebrating New Year's Eve together is beyond weird to Taylor. She really can't trust anything that Kendall tells her.'

Taylor Swift is reportedly upset after she learned of Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner's reunion in St. Barts. According to HollywoodLife.com, the "Bad Blood" hitmaker was "completely shocked" and couldn't trust Kendall anymore.

"Taylor heard from a mutual friend that Harry and Kendall are back together and she is completely shocked. She can't believe that Kendall would actually date Harry," a source told the publication. It was said that both Taylor and Kendall got close to each other as they had past romance with Harry.

"The fact that Harry and Kendall are celebrating New Year's Eve together is beyond weird to Taylor," continued the source, adding, "She really can't trust anything that Kendall tells her, not now that she's back with Harry!" The news outlet then concluded, "It's probably not fun for Taylor to see her ex hanging out like that with a girl she brought on stage at tour."

Gosip Cop soon debunked the report, citing a source close to Taylor who said that the "We Are Never EverGetting Back Together" singer wasn't upset about Harry and Kendall's reunion. She doesn't even focus on what the rumored couple's doing. Instead, she enjoyed the New Year's Eve at a party where her boyfriendCalvin Harris was performing.

The false report aside, Harry and Kendall fueled dating rumors as they're photographed swimming together in the sea beside their luxury boat on Thursday, December 31. They were all smiles enjoying the water in the tropical island. At one point, the One Direction singer was seen trying to pull Kendall back into the water.

See Lamar Odom's First Selfie Since Hospitalization

His son, Lamar Odom Jr., took to Instagram on Thursday, December 31 to share first selfie of the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star since hospitalization.

Lamar Odom's condition is apparently getting better as he continues getting treatment at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. His son, Lamar Odom Jr., took to Instagram on Thursday, December 31 to share first selfie of the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star since hospitalization.

The picture featured Lamar and his children, Lamar Odom Jr. and Destiny Odom. While the former NBA star didn't smile at the camera, his kids struck poses in the background. The teen boy wrote alongside the picture, "Christmas with my pops. Here's to 2016. Blessed."
As previously reported, Lamar's estranged wife Khloe Kardashian spent some time after Christmas with him at the hospital. After being with him for some days, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star decided to travel to Houston to support her boyfriend James Harden whose team, Houston Rockets, competed against the Atlanta Hawks.

Katy Perry and John Mayer Not Alone During NYE Reunion

The formerlovers were joined by a bunch of friends when they dined at The Nice Guy just before the New Year's Eve.

Katy Perry and John Mayer were pictured on the same scene on Wednesday, December 30. Does it mean the former flames are back together? Not so fast.

A source told PEOPLE that they were at The Nice Guy restaurant with a group of friends. "Not together or anything flirty or love interest-type," an onlooker said, adding, "They got a table together about 10 of them in total and went straight there after John's show."

They left the Hollywood hot spot together in the same car at around 4 A.M. and that's when paparazzi swarmed on them. Mayer was wearing a dark coat while Perry kept it bright with her printed onesie.

Perry and Mayer kept confusing public on the status of their relationship. They first dated in 2012 and split in February 2014. However, they had dinner in Beverly Hills, spent time together at Disneyland in May and sat next to each other at Allison Williams' wedding in September. In the last two occasions, they reportedly were holding hands.

Neither Perry nor Mayer has made a comment on their latest reunion. Perry tweeted on Thursday, "NEW YEAR, NO FEAR."

Can Taylor Swift Finally Get 'Out of the Woods' in Her New Video?

Swift runs from a pack of wolves in the woods before finding herself surrounded by fire, snow and rain in the Joseph Kahn-directed visuals.

The official music video for Taylor Swift's "Out of the Woods" is out. As promised, the clip directed by Joseph Kahn was premiered during "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve", just shortly before 2015 ended.

The CGI-filled video sees Swift in the woods, running from a pack of hungry wolves before finding herself surrounded by fire and snow, landing in the middle of a desert, getting covered in mud and still looking fabulous.

"Out of the Woods" was co-written by Jack Antonoff and inspired by Swift's failed relationship with Harry Styles. It serves as the sixth single off her "1989" album, following "Shake It Off", "Blank Space", "Style," "Bad Blood" and "Wildest Dreams" which all peaked inside the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100.

Swift filmed the video in between shows on her Australia/New Zealand tour last month. Director Kahn is the same person behind the 26-year-old diva's other epic videos, including "Blank Space" and "Wildest Dreams".

Are They Really Just Friends? Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Pack on the PDA in New Photo

Though Hailey denied having a special relationship with Justin last year, she keeps fueling dating rumors as she posts on Instagram a picture of them packing on the PDA on New Year's Eve.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have been showing PDA while vacationing together. In honor of the New Year, Hailey shared with her 2.8 million followers on Instagram a snap of her cozying up to the singer.

In the black-and-white snap, the 19-year-old model hugged Justin from behind. Hailey kissed his neck as he tried to turn his face to her. She was seen wearing a tight leather dress with lace-up detailing at either side. Meanwhile, Justin looked casual in a cap and an oversized T-shirt. The picture was seemingly taken at a party given that some people were dancing in the background. "New Years," read the caption.

Though Hailey set the record straight last year on rumors saying that they're dating, it didn't stop fans from speculating that their relationship is more than just friends. Instagram user @anabiadecaro wrote, "They're so cute." Another user @keziah.white commented, "Yess I'm loving this couple." Similarly, user @common_denominator1994 said, "Jailey Perfect Together."

A few days ago, the two were also seen getting flirty to each other. In one video, Hailey was seemingly ready to strike a pose as she pouted her lips and looked away from the camera and her close pal. Meanwhile, Justin was aware that the camera didn't take a picture but record a video. At one point, he licked his finger and playfully put it in Hailey's ear. Feeling ticklish, Hailey was smiling and grabbed his hand onto her neck.

"There was a lot of misconceptions about me being a real diva or a problem or being very demanding and things like that. As unusual as my life is, I am very normal, I think, and down-to-earth," said Lopez.
"I am happy to be one of the people who are breaking the mould. We can’t keep acting like we are in the 1950s. Women are strong. Women are bold. And now it is reflected in our art," she added.

'Point Break' - Movie Review

'Point Break'

U/A; Crime-thriller
Director: Ericson Core
Cast: Luke Bracey, Edgar Ramirez, Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer
Rating:

The film has been aided well by VFX, and high-end graphics making the stunts look seamless and thrilling
Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 cult hit Point Break top-lining Patrick Swayze with the yet-to-be-a-star, pre-Matrix Keanu Reeves, had surfing as its core competency. Fast And Furious used that film as a stepping stone to its many successes and now, we have the cinematographer of the first F&F donning the director’s mantle for this spasmodic by-product that graduates to extreme sports for generating its ritualistic adrenaline rushes. There’s plenty of showboat stunts with knife-edge precariousness and heart-stopping finishes on display and the story (whatever little of it there may be) is just a patched-up series of events with the single-minded purpose of highlighting the incredible.
And incredulous it gets because all the stunts come one after the other with not much of preparation or training to show. The one-line story involves a bunch of adrenaline junkies embarking on a set of eight unbelievable adventure events never completed before. The Ozaki 8 are basically a series of trials created to honour the forces of nature and supposedly deliver spiritual enlightenment (a kind of hokey Zen philosophical jargon), which is being super-anointed to a Robin Hood like caper meant to rationalise extreme criminal behaviour.
Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), an ex-extreme sports poly-athlete, who joins the FBI after his best friend dies in a motocross accident, is desperate (can’t figure out why, though) to prove to his academy instructor (Delroy Lindo) that he’s ready for field duty. A series of incredulous crimes have gone down and the FBI are pretty much flummoxed by the sheer daring and risk being taken to pull it off — and right under their noses. Johnny, who knows quite a bit about extreme sports ambitions, figures the daring-do to be similar to those of extreme sport adrenaline junkies and volunteers to go undercover to investigate. While in the process of uncovering the schema, he too gets to spread his wings at pre-meditated turns of plot.
The script is basically an attempt to stitch together incredible feats; the characters have nothing to show in terms of depth, other than their ability to pull off the monumental. The film, no doubt, has been aided well by VFX, and high-end graphics making the stunts look seamless and thrilling. The cinematography is what keeps you riveted. The sheer dynamics of that one technical aspect compounded with far-fetched ideologies and super-human endeavors makes it an adrenaline gusher beyond comparison. Unfortunately, it does not follow the cinematic constructs with as much flair. But that won’t stop the adrenaline junkies from getting their highs here!

George Lucas apologises for his 'white slavers' comment

The filmmaker apologised for his 'white slavers' comment and used a 'very inappropriate analogy'

George Lucas has apologised for criticising Disney’s handling of Star Wars and saying he had sold his characters to 'white slavers' in a recent interview.
George Lucas
In a statement issued Thursday, Lucas says he misspoke and used a 'very inappropriate analogy.' It was not clear what the Star Wars creator meant by the 'white slavers' comment and it sparked ire when the interview was posted online last week. “I rarely go out with statements to clarify my feelings but I feel it is important to make it clear that I am thrilled that Disney has the franchise and is moving it in such exciting directions,” said Lucas in his statement.
He sold his company, Lucasfilm, to the Walt Disney Co in 2012 for $4.06 billion, and the studio charged ahead in developing Star Wars: The Force Awakens with director JJ Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
Lucas discussed his decision to stay out of the new instalments in an interview and criticised Disney’s retro, fan-centric approach to The Force Awakens. “I have been working with Disney for 40 years and chose them as the custodians of Star Wars because of my great respect for the company and Bob Iger’s leadership. Disney is doing an incredible job of taking care of and expanding the franchise," he said.

'Monster Hunt' - Movie Review

'Monster Hunt'

U/A; Fantasy
Director: Raman Hui
Cast: Baibe Bai, Boran Jing, Wu Jiang
Rating:
Monster hunt
The story is delightfully drawn, but the narrative pauses and confusion in detailing lets you down
This live-action animation film in 3D has been imagined, created and helmed by Raman Hui, the Hong Kong-born animation supervisor who was involved with the genesis of the 'Shrek' franchise. Originally in Chinese but dubbed by Indian voice-over artistes in English and other Indian languages for the desi market, this fantasy yarn about humans and monsters living in the same space and even cross-breeding/ surrogating, is delightfully drawn, no doubt, but the narrative pauses and confusion in detailing lets you down quite a bit.
Hui has the ability and smarts to put together an audience-pleasing fare and he does go about it with great flair. The animation is top-notch, the character drawings may not be perfect, but they are charming nevertheless. The photo-real backdrops and the addition of live Chinese characters add substance to the proceedings. There’s monster-human shape shifting, gender-bending breeding and surrogacy for firsts and the cute looking monster princeling with his playful energy and amiable vibe is a heart stealer. Huba, a monster baby was transferred in embryonic stage to the stomach of a male human Tianyin (Jing Boran) for protection against rebel monsters. He is thrown out of the mouth of his surrogate parent in the form of an egg and gets hatched immediately.
A prince by birth, the little darling is pursued by his fellow monster enemies as well as human monster-hunters vying for a big booty. So, it’s up to his surrogate parent and a pretty butt-kicking female monster-hunter, Xiaolan (Bai Baihe) to save him for the bigger things he is destined for.
This film has been backed by a Chinese production with a mammoth budget (never before heard of in Chinese animation history) and the returns from the Chinese box office have been phenomenal in the first few weeks itself. And all because it’s a pleasurable mix of ancient and modern myths originating from China and Japan, and makes great use of folklore and pop-elements to slay its demons with skilful relish. While the narrative is not as brisk and
efficient as it should have been, and the dubbing is completely clueless, there’s plenty of charm and Confucian depth to keep you beguiled and interested.
